Blossom 2000-2006

Posted 11th December 2006

My baby bunny Blossom was put down this morning. She was the cutest bunny EVER and sooo friendly, she charmed everyone who met her, although people weren't always sure of what species she was, she was called a squirrel, a chinchilla, a guinea pig and even a mouse!

I got her in 2000, just after my last rabbit Raclette died very young and she got on with my brother's guinea pigs straight away, washing them even if they didn't appreciate it sometimes! Although she was always a real people person, she became much more of an indoor rabbit after the guinea pigs died and loved running round the lounge, munching on everything in her way: curtains, clothes hanging on the radiator, papers and people's legs if they ignored her wanting a stroke. Never malicious though!

After having her teeth trimmed a few weeks ago, she stopped eating and had to be force-fed. The last couple of days she lost loads of weight and looked so miserable so it was definately time to say goodbye.

So long sweet Blossom, rest in peace. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
