Gundog Group

The Gundogs were originally bred to find and retrieve gamebirds. The group is divided into 4 parts, with HPR (hunt, point, retrieve) dogs, spaniels, retrievers and setters.

Gundogs make great companions and are ideal family dogs, generally getting along well with children. They are intelligent and easy to train and are able to adapt to a wide range of roles within the community.

As part of her final year research project, one of my friends from the Royal Veterinary College is doing research into breed-related problems in dogs. If you own or have owned a dog, please fill in her questionnaire or visit the Facebook group.
