Poisoning in animals is rare but care should be taken to avoid the possibility of it. Symptoms of a poisoning are not very specific but include:

Vomiting
Diarrhoea
Skin burns
Excessive salivation
Nose bleeds
Collapse
Slow/fast breathing
Blindness
Incoordination
Excessive thirst
Jaundice
Abdominal pain
Sudden death

If you suspect your cat has been poisoned, take it straight to your vet's along with the full packaging of the poisonous substance if possible.
